We had just got the parachute out to play with when it started to rain so all the children ran underneath - felt more like England than South Africa
We moved the parachute inside where is just fitted but there were too many children to fit round it
In the midst of all the noise and excitement Musa and I discussed what to do
We split the children into three groups and sent the older ones out to play (thankfully the rain had stopped). The little ones then got to play with the parachute at last!
Outside the children skipped, played basketball and other games with some of the staff
They also got their faces painted, the UK team became experts at creating the South African flag
Scott and Dan worked hard getting all the food ready on the braai. The meat had been donated by a local butcher when he heard what we were doing. We were catering for 150 children as that is our average number each day.
However well over 250 5-15yr olds turned up! News of a party seems to spread far and wide. This is them all inside for notices and prayers before we ate.
